The Cumbrae School of Dancing

Anastasia is in her 2nd year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Cherrier's Junior A hip hop class. Anastasia's favourite style is contemporary, but she also takes jazz, hip hop, theatre, ballet, and pointe. Some of her favourite dance experiences have been going to NYC with Cumbrae, attending the summer dance intensive, having fun at recitals, and parades. Anastasia is in the school band playing the clarinet. She loves listening to music and drinking boba tea.

Cassidy Chapman is excited to be in her 1st year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Wagstaff in the Disney Dance class. Cassidy's favourite style of dance is contemporary, but she also takes jazz and ballet. Some of Cassidy's favourite dance experiences have been performing at recitals, participating in the Navan Fair Parade and auditioning for The Nutcracker. Outside of dance, Cassidy loves shopping, going to Starbucks, hanging out with friends and eating sushi.

Emilee Berube is excited to be in her second year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Campbell in the Junior Theatre class. Emilee's favourite style of dance is Contemporary, but she also takes tap, jazz, & ballet. Some of Emilee's favourite dance experiences have been attending Scholarships in Toronto, as well as participating in the Santa Claus and Navan parades. Outside of dance, Emilee loves to participate in track and field and cross country running.

Sierra is excited to be in her 2nd year of the apprenticeship program! She is assisting Ms. Harvie in the Primary Ballet class. Sierra's favourite style of dance is jazz, but she also takes ballet, hip hop, musical theatre, improv and contemporary. Some of Sierra's favourite dance experiences have been attending the summer intensive, dancing in the Navan parade, recitals, and auditioning for the Victoria Academy of Ballet. Outside of dance, Sierra loves to read, hangout with friends and shop!

Kara is in her first year of the apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Wagstaff in Disney Dance. Kara loves ballet, but she also takes tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, improv, pointe, repertoire and musical theatre. Favourite experiences have been dancing in NYC, being a background dancer in a Netflix movie, dancing in the Navan Parade each summer, & performing as an angel in the Nutcracker at the NAC (which she is excited to do again this year)!

Addyson is excited to be in her 1st year of the apprenticeship program! She will assist Miss W's Disney Dance. Addyson’s favourite style is ballet, but she also takes jazz and contemporary. Some of her favourite dance experiences have been volunteering to help younger dancers, participating in recitals, the Navan fair parade, and the summer dance intensive. Outside of dance, she loves gymnastics, seeing her friends, travel with family, and arts & crafts.

Lilia Farsi is in her 2nd year as an apprentice. She is assisting Miss McColl's primary tap. Lilia’s favourite style is ballet but she also takes tap,jazz,contemporary and improv. Some favourite dance experiences have been attending Quinte's Ballet School, performing in Ballet Jorgen's Nutcracker and getting into The Nutcracker this year with Grands Ballets. She also loves performing in the Navan and Christmas parades. Outside of dance, Lilia likes track and field, travelling, and sushi.

Kassie assists Miss Cherrier’s Inter C Hip Hop. Her favourite style is Jazz, but she also loves theatre, hip hop, tap, conditioning, ballet, and contemp.  Kassie's enjoyed summer dance intensives and participating in parades. She especially loves the thrill of being backstage during recitals and learning from her peers & teachers.  Away from dance, Kassie hangs out with friends, goes to the gym, & plays basketball. She is part of the Black Student Association, Pink Athletics, dance club & more.

Olivia Yang is excited to be in her first year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Ms.Baker in the Grade 1 Jazz class. Olivia's favourite dance style is contemporary and tap, but she also takes ballet and jazz. Some of Olivia's favourite dance experiences have been performing the Nutcracker and doing competitions. Outside of dance, Olivia loves playing piano, watching Netflix, and hanging out with friends and family.

Mika is excited to be in her first year of the apprenticeship program! She will assist Miss Campbell's Broadway Bound Tap/Jazz. Mika's favourite style of dance is Jazz, but she also takes contemporary, ballet, and theatre. Some of Mika's favourite dance experiences have been performing in the local parades during the summer and winter seasons, as well as the summer intensive. Outside of dance, Mika plays soccer, loves travelling and drinking bubble tea!

Bridget is excited to be in her 2nd year of the apprenticeship program! She is assisting the Grade 2 Jazz class. Bridget’s favourite style of dance is Jazz, but she also loves Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. Some of Bridget’s favourite dance experiences have been attending Summer Intensive, performing in Nutcracker as a chipmunk, Navan Parade, recital, and apprenticing. Outside of dance Bridget enjoys playing rugby, hanging out with dance friends and playing with her cats.

Susie Hall is excited to be in her second year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Berube's in the disney dance ballet/tap. Her favourite style of dance is jazz, but she also takes tap, contemporary, Ballet and theatre. Some of Susie's favourite dance experiences have been attending the summer intensive, performing in The Navan parade and dancing in recital. Outside of dance, Susie loves travelling, baking and spending time with her friends and family.

Ritta Nemeh is excited to be in her third year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Cherrier in the Primary Ballet/Jazz class. Ritta’s favourite style of dance is hip hop, but she also takes ballet and jazz. Some of Ritta’s favourite dance experiences have been attending the BATD scholarships, dancing at recital, performing in parades, and auditioning for ballet schools. Outside of dance, Ritta loves to read, spend time with her family, and watch movies!

Angela Li is happy to be in her 1st year of apprenticing. She is assisting Miss Harvie in Primary Ballet. Angela’s favourite style of dance is ballet, but she also takes tap, Pointe, and musical theatre. Some of her favourite dance experiences have been the Quinte Ballet School’s summer intensive, being cast as a party girl in thNutcracker, and performing on Broadway in Cumbrae's trip to NYC. Outside of dance, she likes to draw, sing, play piano, violin, and eat sushi.

Elyse is excited to be in her 2nd year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Rizok’s Level 1 contemporary. Elyse’s favourite style of dance is jazz, but she also takes ballet, pointe, contemporary , improv, and musical theatre. Favourite dance experiences have been the Christmas parade, going to the summer intensive and performing in the RWB Nutcracker as a polar bear. Outside of dance, she loves hanging out with friends, travelling, and shopping.

Shelby Miller is excited to be in her first year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Mrs Wilson in the Grade 2 ballet class. Shelby’s favourite style of dance is ballet, but she also takes hip hop, and pointe. Shelby's favourite dance experience so far has been travelling to New York to dance on Broadway and in Time Square. Outside of dance, Shelby loves to hang out with her family and pets.

Rebecca Campbell is excited to be in her first year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Harvie in the Grade 1 Ballet class. Rebecca's favourite style of dance is ballet, but she also takes jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and pointe. Some of Rebecca's favourite dance experiences have been performing in the winter Parade of Lights and attending summer intensives. Outside of dance, Rebecca loves to play soccer, travel with her family, and hang out with friends.

Finlay is in her 3rd year of the program! She assists Miss C's Junior Hip Hop. her favourite style is jazz, but she also takes ballet, repertoire, hip hop, and musical theatre. Favourite dance experiences have been The Nutcracker with both RWB and Les Grands Ballets, attending Scholarships in Toronto, Victoria Academy of Ballet's summer, & the Parade of Lights! Finlay loves volleyball, surfing, and tennis too!

Olivia is excited to be in her first year of the teaching apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Berube in the Primary Jazz class. Olivia's favourite style of dance is Hip Hop, but she also takes jazz, ballet, and musical theatre. Some of Olivia's favourite dance experiences have been dancing in the Navan Parade, dancing at recital, and helping out at summer camp! Outside of dance, Olivia loves to do arts and crafts, travel, eat new foods, and hangout with friends!

Ruby is excited to be in her first year of the apprenticeship program! She is assisting Miss Rizok in the broadway bound Tap/Jazz. Ruby’s favourite style of dance is jazz, but she also takes ballet, contemporary ,tap, musical theatre, improv, & hip hop. Some of Ruby’s favourite dance experiences have been the Navan fair parade, auditioning for the Nutcracker, summer intensive, recital, & the SKT dance out. Outside of dance, Ruby likes to hang out with her friends, read and watch movies.
