Natasha Cinanni (BATD Associate Member) started dancing at the Cumbrae School of Dance at the age of six. She has studied an array of dance including tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern, theatre and ballet. After assisting for many years, she continued on to attain her Associate Stage and Modern Certificate under the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. Through the Royal Academy of Dancing Natasha has completed both her Advanced 1 Ballet and Grade 8 Ballet Certifications. Natasha attended the American Theatre Dance Workshop twice in New York and was also one of the original "Cumbrae Dancers" to perform throughout the city for various events.
She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Science, with an honours in Human Kinetics, at the University of Ottawa. Natasha continued on to work in active rehabilitation as a Kinesiologist. As her passion for children persistent, she followed her dream and obtained a position as a Research Coordinator at CHEO. There, she studied motor development and physical activity in children with congenital heart defects. As the years progressed, she had the opportunity to manage an array of research projects focusing on creating interventions and finding healthy lifestyles for children with varying conditions. She now works for the Canadian Institute of Health Research supporting CIHR project funding grant reviews.
Natasha is a proud mother to her two children, whom she hopes to see under the bright lights!
